Too stubborn to let go.

Ideas will come and go, good people will come and go, business colleagues, employees, business partners… and not so good people will come and go! This IS a fact in life and one you can’t do anything about!

I’ve had to learn this the hard way - been hurt by people, some I thought had my back, were in my corner - it's probably the worst aspect of this industry, the bitchiness, the complaining about others, he's doing this - she's doing that etc etc.

It's taken me a long time to realise I can’t do anything about it, I’ve learnt not to beat myself up - years ago I would have questioned everything, two or three times over probably!

I don't get involved, keep myself to myself hidden away in the rolling hills of Co Down - it's the best way, we all need not to worry about others and just concentrate on ourselves - we command our path, our journey, not others !!

No matter what - people WILL have their own agendas at times, and will misuse your trust and loyalty, and in some cases spin it to suit THEIR own situations, for that it makes them look like the "better person" .

Look, I'm not just pointing this at the fitness industry (but I'm sure many can relate) but in life, this happens in all of our lives, it has before and it will again - BUT maybe we can all learn from it.

Nothing lasts forever so learn that letting go will allow you the freedom of thought to make better of your life and move you further in the direction of success. Be careful not to create an emotional attachment to things, as they will become harder to let go. Know that the person, idea or whatever you are holding on to does NOT define you so there is not need need to cling to it.

Lose the emotion, lose the stubbornness and make way for the new.
