Progress - celebrate those stepping stones.

Progress is ALWAYS Progress - remain FOCUSED on your OWN journey and your OWN stepping stones!

I do think the majority of people have become completely consumed and embroiled in wanting to look like fitness models  - and we almost feel under pressure to be ripped, have a 6 pack, in order just to "fit in", or be seen to be “accepted" !

Don’t get me wrong - massive massive respect to those athletes who work towards this journey, and no one should judge them as this is “their journey”.

However I can’t help wonder do the majority of people feel under a certain amount of pressure to look a certain way, or have the perfect body?

Do we feel the need to be accepted, that we become so embroiled in the problem that we are trying to fix, that we miss the small but important pieces that make up the bigger picture. And this relates to all things in life, not just health and fitness.

There seems to be a HUGE focus on the “end goal” - off course seeing the goal can be important, and its good to have that in mind. However - solely focusing on that “end goal” can also cause stress and great upset when we don’t quite hit that perfect image when constantly see in magazines, social media etc.

WHAT WE ALL NEED TO REMEMBER IS - the “perfect” image / body is subjective - what one person can see as perfection may not be the same as another person!

In health and fitness, as in pretty much everything in life, while it is important to have the end goal in mind, it is equally important to have smaller interim goals to help keep our focus, stepping stones as such. Whatever the achievement is, no matter how small or how slow, it is still an achievement, its still progress !

Whilst we see the “end goal”, note this is made up of lots of smaller portions which all contribute to that, and we should all celebrate these.

Essentially - progress is still progress, no matter how small, or how slow, and never let anyone take that from you.
